I am a Senior Lecturer of economics at RMIT University and lead investigator on two Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage grants.

My research aims to understand how social and economic policies impact on the lives of individuals. I have over 10 years of experience leveraging large datasets and applying statistical tools to disentangle correlation from causation. My current research focuses on issues at the intersection of machine learning, econometrics and social policy.

I am a Fellow at the Gradient Institute, a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), a Research Affiliate in the ARC Centres of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society and Children and Families over the Life Course, and an Adjunct Associate Lecturer in the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
